2021 Sand Training will be lead by AVP Veteran Gayle Stammer
Gayle Stammer, an United States Olympian alternate and former top 10 player on the Professional Beach Volleyball circuit will be leading our Beach Cadre in 2016. A First Team All-American player in Texas, Stammer went on to play at NCAA Division I Louisiana State University where she received All Southeastern Conference honors She was a middle hitter and led the team in blocks her senior year.
After LSU, Stammer played in the Italian Professional Volleyball League for three years, Gayle was an A1 Italian League Player in Ancona, Italy, a town nearby Cesenatico and is somewhat of a local celebrity in Italy! She returned to the Bay Area when she was a draft choice of the San Jose GoldDiggers in the inaugural season of Major League Volleyball (Indoor Professional Volleyball).
Stammer soon after, shifted her focus to Beach Volleyball and competed for 13 seasons on the professional circuit of the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) Tour. She was ranked among the top 10 players in the United States and made a strong run to the Final Four of the U.S. Olympic Beach Volleyball trials in Baltimore, Md. in 1996 before losing. Stammer was an alternate for the 1996 Atlanta Olympiad.

Mitch Sadowsky is the Vice President of Operations of BioGenix Sports Optimization. He holds a certification as a Sports Performance Specialist (SPSc) and is specializing in biomechanical efficiency, plyometric training, functional and stability training, strength and speed training as well as Level 1 and FMS. Mitch is a former college, professional volleyball player and current beach volleyball player and has been very involved in the training aspects of sports for many years.
As a volleyball player, Mitch played international volleyball in the 2001 Maccabi Games with Team USA and with the BringItUSA All-Star Tour in the fall of 2000. During his collegiate career, Sadowsky attended Ball State University, graduating with a bachelor’s and master’s degree, while helping the men’s volleyball team to a pair of third-place finishes in the NCAA Tournament (1995 & 1997), a trio of MIVA titles (1996-98) and served as team captain in 1998. In 2004, Mitch finished as the 5th ranked beach volleyball player in Utah winning two tournaments and having several other top 5 finishes. Mitch has coached Division I volleyball collegiately with Ball State University, Georgetown University and Florida State University. Mitch was highly involved in all aspects of the volleyball programs including training, video analysis, and working with the strength and conditioning of the teams. Mitch has worked at the highest levels with USA Volleyball as a lead tryout coach for the High Performance programs for tryouts at the Select, Youth and Junior levels for the past 6 years and is currently the head girls volleyball coach at Olympia High School.
Mitch Led the Beach Volleyball Trainings for Misty May (3x Olympian) with her "Dream in Gold" clinic series. He is awesome.
Trip Coordinator and Coach Dana Wall

A San Diego native, she had a stellar playing career at San Diego State University, where she was a middle blocker and the team was ranked as high as fourth nationally in the NCAA Division I. She was a first team AIAW Selection in 1979. Dana still holds the record for block solos in a match with 8, and she is in the top 5 at SDSU for career block solos and season block solos. As a player, she has multiple US Open National Championships and an AAU National Championship under her belt. She has been a US Open First Team All-American five times. She is a former player for the Women's Professional Beach Volleyball Association (WPVA).
Wall recently retired as the Head Coach at Salem College in North Carolina. She took over the Volleyball Program in 2012 and immediately paid dividends for the Spirits, guiding Salem to the 2012 GSAC Championships and a berth to the NCAA's; both, for the first time in school history in any sport. She repeated the GSAC Championship and NCAA berth in 2014 and followed that up by guiding Salem to GSAC Regular Season Titles in 2013 and 2014. Wall was named Great South Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for 2013 and 2014. (Yes, this picture is from the '90s)
